Some projects below- Storage Child (Container) Service Designed, implemented, GAed and promoted adoption of a new platform service that drastically simplified permission and life cycle management of associated files at Box. The service powered the seamless adoption of both browser based and backend services such as Microsoft Office Online Coach, Box Sign, Box Notes, Box Canvas, DocGen, User and Enterprise Logos scaling Storage Platform to 2x its traffic.(Patent: Methods and systems for storing and associating objects in a storage system)- Zones In Region ProcessingLead a team (size: 3) of engineers and SREs in launching new Box Zones in Australia and France to power in-region processing and storage of Box files based on customer location- Zones Onboarding through Single Sign On (SSO)Lead the effort for design, implementation and rollout of Zones SSO feature that significantly improved onboarding experience for Zones customers by automatically identifying location based on their SSO login attributes- Encryption Key BackupIdentified and implemented a code optimization across key storage platform services that cut down the growth of Hbase footprint by half resulting in cost savings (1M+), with no impact to latency or SLA as key backups are accessed only 1% of the time- Kubernetes on AWSLead a cutting edge initiative(team size: 3) for building a K8s based hybrid cloud platform supporting Calico and Smartstack on a private IP space. This was a cross company initiative with Box, Tigera and AWS. Other small projects- Zones AWS EC2 performance tuning and cost savings (~1 M+)- Root-causing complex Calico issues and early stabilization efforts arising from scale- Implemented first version of emergency CI/CD deployments to the platform, LDAP authentication proxy sidecar for K8s components.
