The Leeds Climate Commission is an independent body that guides and accelerates the city’s journey to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future. It advises on local policies, monitors progress, and focuses on helping Leeds achieve its goal of net zero by 2030, supporting and implementing city-wide adaptation and achieving these aims in a socially just way. As a Commissioner, I contribute my expertise in climate adaptation to help Leeds work towards becoming a well-adapted city. I co-lead and provide strategic oversight for key projects, promote the Commission\'s work, and advocate for climate initiatives across the city, ensuring that Leeds becomes a leader in climate action.
