Visit West is the Destination Management Organisation for Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. I manage the PR for Visit Bristol and Visit Bath and my main aim is to promote our member hotels, restaurants, attractions and events to local, national and international media. Duties Include:• Writing compelling press releases and pitching features to attract media interest and coverage for Visit Bristol’s members• Organising and co-ordinating seasonal campaigns for Visit Bristol. I recruit media and content creators, arrange the campaign offerings, organise the launch event and oversee and report coverage to members• Responding to all media requests (organising quotes and responding to information and picture requests).• Arranging interviews and advising on filming locations for broadcast media• Compiling media reports of coverage gained by press trips and information requests• Liaising with media, business partners and other PR representatives to maximise media coverage. • Managing the PR budget and overall Visit Bristol PR strategy• Devising bespoke press trips for travel journalists, bloggers and influencers, incorporating the most suitable destinations and activities according to content output and audience analysis
