ABOUT SUSIE LIND

I am an Energy Partner at international law firm CMS spearheading our activity in wind with broad experience in the energy sector. I\'ve spent 20 years in roles leading legal teams, business functions, partnerships and organisations and love supporting the development, funding and operation of large energy infrastructure projects.My executive and non-executive Director roles have spanned state owned utility to private equity backed developer, industry council and currently at the two leading UK trade associations for renewables, giving me perspective and deep experience in developing, constructing and operating onshore wind, offshore wind, storage, solar and nuclear as well as leading big and small teams (from people).I\'m a firm believer in the benefit of a broad energy mix but have a real drive to support the advancement of deep-water wind in Scotland, the UK and internationally. My big passions are organisational leadership and law, 2 areas I see have a profound impact on outcomes - both the experience for those delivering projects and ultimately the value created in them for investors, communities and the consumer.I\'m a mum of 3 teenagers and love to chat about how motherhood or other privileges you may juggle can be a superpower to achieve a focused and fulfilling working life, so we as women do not count ourselves out.My professional goal is to continue to be part of courageous teams delivering groundbreaking projects with care for each other and our planet.
