ABOUT SUSHMITA ORUGANTI
With a diverse training background across India, Australia, and the United States, I bring a global perspective to my work in psychology. I’ve had the opportunity to practice under supervision and provisional licenses internationally, gaining rich insights from each setting. My experience spans roles as an EAP lead, psychotherapist, and training under neuropsychological assessors allowing me to work with individuals across the lifespan facing a broad spectrum of clinical and non-clinical challenges. Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow at the Boston Center for Refugee Health & Human Rights and REstore (Boston Medical Center), I’m deepening my expertise in trauma-informed care. This fellowship has been transformative in contextualizing trauma from a decolonial, liberatory, social justice, diversity, and multicultural framework(s)- factors that are essential in creating meaningful, holistic care.
