About Sushant Ranjan

Currently I am a Senior Design Engineer II at ACL Digital. Before that, I was a Master of Science student at Duke University studying Quantum Computing which I had to put on hold due to family issues. I am particularly interested in quantum error correction and control architecture, and use of FPGAs for the same. Before joining Duke I worked at Microchip(previously Microsemi). I designed and validated systems for FPGAs/SoCs and debugged IPs on hardware before release. I have six years of experience working on1. RTL for DSP, Radiation Tolerant IPs etc.2. System level FPGA designs based on Cortex M1, Cortex M3, and RISC-V.3. RTL debug/ System level debug/ Hardware debugging.4. Automating tasks using Tcl and Perl.5. Various protocols like QDR, AXI, AHB, Ethernet, JESD, UART etc.6. C++ based TGI configurator GUIs for DSP IPs.7. Getting familiarity with Verification environments.Skill set1. Programming Languages: C, Assembly Language, Tcl, Perl, C++, Python32. Hardware Description Languages: Verilog, VHDL, and System Verilog.3. Design Tools: Qiskit, Circuit Simulators, Xilinx/AMD ISE Design Suite, Microsemi Tools, Modelsim, Questasim, MATLAB.I am open to challenges and always ready to learn new things.
