I have led highly skilled industrial, manufacturing, and supply chain engineers in providing tactical and strategic support to global Operations: implementing basics and fundamentals to improve productivity, cross-functional process improvements for achieving efficiencies, product improvements to align with market needs, management of working capital, innovation on processes and technology, and rolling out strategic corporate initiatives.I have spent a few years on consulting assignments for several area companies in the mid-west while pursuing my doctorate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. These were a combination of small privately owned companies to large multi-billion dollar public corporations, and ranging from process industries to discrete manufacturing industries, but with common issues related to lead times, throughput, and On-time performance. Affecting positive change in these situations required developing a deep understanding of the business and its manufacturing environment, structured problem solving, sound analytical skills, and a curiosity to keep asking \'why’.Through my career I have had the honor of working as much with the front-line staff towards understanding gaps and developing solutions as much as I have had the opportunity to collaborate with senior executives on high-profile change initiatives. My experiences having worked with a diverse geographically-spread set of facilities, as well as combining with various functional groups on multiple initiatives have reinforced in me the value of collaboration, exercising influence, and developing and maintaining relationships, while improving organizational effectiveness.
