ABOUT SUSAN SLOAN

Executive Communications Strategist | Public Affairs Professional | Storyteller | Author “A Seat at the Table: Women, Diplomacy, and Lessons for the World.” Whether it is a one-on-one meeting, a small group brainstorm, or engaging with 500 people, I have the innate ability to build trust and see any effort through to a successful outcome. From Bahrain to Lithuania to the U.S, I have mobilized unique groups by leading more than 400 programs focusing on the audience to deliver specific messages. I serve as a thought leader, trusted confidant, and strategic team member, and use my entrepreneurial spirit to elevate an organization’s mission through communications. I craft narratives in the digital landscape enabling organizations to communicate their story and connect puzzle pieces to create an impactful picture. For three organizations, I have uplifted social media channels, created strategic email programs, and integrated dynamic websites under the lens of diversity and inclusion. I am the strategic professional colleagues call throughout departments and time zones. 10 Years: Took action and visited all 7 continents by age 30 learning how to problem-solve and understand unique cultures. 8 Years: Developed and executed communication strategies and messaging to thousands of people. 6 Years: Utilized the power of storytelling for a nonprofit connecting media to civic engagement. 2 Years: Built trust and empowered young leaders marching along train tracks of Auschwitz-Birkenau. 1 Year: Completed my master’s degree in global strategic communications. 8 months: Wrote a nonfiction book about parity, equity, and diversity.
