Re-elected to another four-year term that began January 2016. Current Council President for 2017. Served as President in 2008 and 2011, Parliamentarian in 2015, Vice President in 2016 - Serve on the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee and the Jack Hopkins Social Services Grant Committee - Initiated the Affordable Living Study Group with Councilmember Chris Sturbaum to research factors in Bloomington related to housing costs, poverty, transportation, and other service gaps- Special focus on the Commission on the Status of Children and Youth and the Bloomington Arts Commission- Served on the Big View Committee of the Circles Initiative, an innovative mentoring program building bridges out of poverty
