About Susan Rowe
As the Director of Precollege Programs at Oregon State University (OSU), I lead a team of dedicated professionals who design and deliver inclusive and impactful STEM/STEAM education and outreach programs for K-12 students, teachers, and families. With over 15 years of experience in informal science and conservation education, I have a passion for fostering environmental literacy and cultural competency among diverse learners and stakeholders.I am an engaged scholar and a researcher with a PhD in Environmental Science and Environmental Education. I am involved in several funded projects that aim to advance the broader impacts and societal benefits of STEM research, such as DIVE4Ag, Polar STEAM, and Invention Education. Through these initiatives, I collaborate with researchers, educators, and community partners to create meaningful and equitable learning opportunities for underserved and underrepresented students in STEM.
