ABOUT SUSI BAUER

My Ambitions I\'m interested in roles which allow me to contribute to making the games or tech industry more accessible, equitable & inclusive for a wide range of people. ‍My Background Coming from a Computer Science & Media background, I dipped into Project Management and Game Design before I ended up as the Localisation Lead at Jagex, where I enjoyed managing skilled line reports, coordinating cross-departmental projects, and finding creative linguistic solutions for game translations. As their Chairwoman for the Diversity & Inclusion group, I developed my leadership skills and collaborated with co-workers to make our company and games more inclusive. This led me to Into Games, where I help people transition into the games industry and work to make it more inclusive. During my 8+ years in the games industry, I got to listen to and live (as a female, queer, neurodivergent, non-native speaker) through many experiences which strengthened my resolve to make workplaces more equitable & inclusive. My Values, Interests and Skills My personal core values are kindness, fairness, and growth through curiosity and creativity. Areas I\'m especially passionate about include Video Games, Technology, Psychology, Design and Education. I thrive in roles that support continuous learning and I enjoy giving back by creating documentation or knowledge-shares. I relish collaboration across different departments and I can empathise with the needs of various stakeholders (due to my degree and work experiences). I also enjoy creating interactive meetings and presentations, as well as initiating and managing projects that add to the long-term health of teams or organisations.
