WORK HISTORY
Hydrogen Market Strategy Lead, Gas System Operator @National Grid
Warwickshire, GB
I lead the Hydrogen Gas Markets Plan (H2 GMaP). This is a highly collaborative programme where National Grid Gas Transmission (NGGT) works together with industry, stakeholders and decision makers to ensure the gas system and markets continue to deliver consumer value through a hydrogen transition. The current H2 GMaP project explores how the development of Project Union could impact the existing gas sector market design and commercial arrangements. Project Union is NGGT\'s project exploring repurposing sections of the NTS to develop a full (100%) hydrogen backbone network. In addition, I led the market workstream of an NIA (Network Innovation Allowance) funded project on deblending technology. The final report is now available on the gas framework changes needed to accommodate the implementation of de-blending technology on the gas networks to support a hydrogen transition. I also led the delivery of the Enabling the Gas Market Plan (GMaP) document, a guide to the progress and next steps of the Future of Gas and GMaP programme.
