About Susannah Frame
After more than three decades as a general assignment reporter, anchor, and full-time investigative reporter, I\'m now the News Director at KING 5 in Seattle. It\'s hard to step away from what I\'ve dedicated decades to: producing complex, multi-part investigations that change public policy and enact change for the better in our communities. Now I\'m down the hall, overseeing the KING 5 investigative unit and the rest of the newsroom. I feel I am in the right seat at the right time - one of massive change in the broadcast journalism business - as we become a digital-first, streaming company. KING is a legacy station - the first in the Pacific Northwest - but we understand and embrace the evolving news landscape. I welcome the job of making sure KING 5\'s content continues to be of the highest caliber of excellence - available where you want it to be.My experience as KING\'s Chief Investigative Reporter gives me a unique perspective on journalism that matters. Many of my investigations garnered top national awards, including three George Foster Peabody Awards, a national Emmy Award, three national Edward R. Murrow Awards, two national Society of Professional Journalist Awards, eight National Headliner Awards, a National Press Club Award, a Scripps Howard Award, and a du-Pont Columbia Award, considered the equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize. I\'ve also won 30 regional Emmy Awards and 23 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.More importantly my investigative work got the attention of those in positions of power by enacting change in public policy. Examples of results include congressional and FBI investigations, federal indictments, prison sentences, gubernatorial Executive Orders and the passage of numerous new state laws.
