ABOUT SUSANNA VILLANI
Dr. Susanna Villani (Ph.D.) is Junior Assistant Professor in EU law at the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna and is involved in the extended partnership titled Future Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR). In 2018, she got the PhD in EU law at the University of Bologna in co-tutorship with the National Distance Education University (UNED) in Madrid. Currently, she is staff member of a number of national and international research projects. In 2021, her book entitled ‘The concept of solidarity within EU disaster response law. A legal assessment’ was published by the Bononia University Press.Current research topics include: Artificial Intelligence and EU law; EU legal instruments and judicial protection in the field of climate change; the relationship between environmental degradation and migration; sustainable development and trade; international and EU disaster response law; EU external action; interaction between international law and EU law.
