ABOUT SUE JOHNSTON

I help you talk so people listen, listen so people talk and change the world, one conversation at a time. As a coach, facilitator, trainer and author, my focus is on interaction. I\'m at my best helping people develop shared understanding communicate for productive change focus on what really matters to them I’ve been communicating professionally for approximately a bazillion years. As a news reporter, my mission was to help people understand their world. As a corporate communicator, I added a strategic approach, learning to craft messages for specific audiences and see what happens after people read or hear our words. That led to roles introducing organizational change: new technology or corporate structures. That\'s when I discovered the power of face-to-face communication. My traditional education (BA + MBA) is augmented by studies of emotional intelligence, positive psychology, coaching and facilitation. Along the way, I earned professional certification in coaching and communication, including agile coaching, and developed and led ICAgile-accredited programs in coaching and facilitation. My conference talks bring communication ideas to tech people and tech ideas to communicators. I\'m honoured to be one of IABC Canada\'s Master Communicators (MC). And I wrote a book,\"Talk To Me: Workplace Conversations That Work.\"​ (http://talktomebook.com). Current focus: Communicating with the brain in mind and visual communication.
