Being a Policy Group Member (PGM) for the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP) means joining a selective, semester-based team that monitors real-world AI policy developments and helps shape CAIDP’s official policy positions to governments and international organizations. PGMs work with an international, cross‑disciplinary cohort of researchers, lawyers, technologists, and advocates who aim to ensure that AI and digital policies support a more fair, just, and accountable society grounded in fundamental rights and democratic values.Being in the policy group involves concrete, ongoing work. Members track and analyze national and international AI policy measures, contribute to drafting and refining CAIDP policy statements and recommendations, and participate in regular meetings to review developments, set priorities, and coordinate responses. The role is also a chance to build advanced AI policy skills, gain exposure to live policy processes and institutions, and contribute to CAIDP’s broader mission of promoting AI policies consistent with human rights, democratic governance, and the rule of law.

ABOUT SUSAN MORRISSEY
I am an educational leader and strategist with experience across K–12 schools, higher education, and international education, focused on organizational development, program design, and leadership capacity. My work includes curriculum design, program redesign and implementation, instructional coaching, and professional development, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence, blended learning, and emerging AI policy in education.Across school leadership, nonprofit, and international education settings, I have led the development and growth of mission-driven educational programs and worked with teams to strengthen instructional practice, organizational systems, and faculty development. I am particularly interested in helping institutions build the leadership and team capacity needed to respond thoughtfully to new technological and organizational challenges.My work increasingly focuses on how educational leaders interpret and respond to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies shaping teaching, learning, and institutional practice.
