About Susan Ellerbusch
Susan Ellerbusch is a Global Business Leader with extensive strategic and operational leadership experience across the Chemicals, Retail and Transportation Fuels segments. Diverse functional background in commercial and operations management, marketing, strategy and business development, both regionally and globally, to lead change, develop/motivate teams and achieve financial and strategic objectives. As a skilled leader Susan has successfully led the process from new concept through commercialization in the Chemical Business (intermediates and polymers); Retail (marketing/re-launch BP branding for convenience business); and Biofuels (transportation fuel). Known for driving operational efficiencies and cost reductions as well as the ability to reduce complexities and drive assets to become more competitive, most recently Sue has led the start-up of BP’s successful Biofuel business as President and COO with full P&L responsibility. Susan has navigated partnerships and JV with companies in the US, South American and Asian markets as well as created critical biofuel technology alliances in the US leading to BP acquisition and business model growth. Susan has earned her Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois and has been honored as Biofuels Digest #2 in the top 100 people in Bioenergy (2011), and was asked to be the executive sponsor of BP’s North America’s 2500 member Women’s Network.
