ABOUT SUSAN CULBRETH

I am a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University with a strong passion for crafting innovative, data-driven campaigns that connect brands with their audiences. My journey in advertising has been shaped by diverse experiences in communications, digital marketing, and event planning. Currently, I am honing my skills as a Public Affairs Intern at the Defense Logistics Agency, where I enhance communication strategies to elevate our public image through engaging content. Key Accomplishments-Collaborated with campus organizations and over 15 local businesses to design and implement community engagement activities, successfully raising more than for charitable initiatives-Developed and executed a robust social media strategy for The Guld Group, significantly enhancing brand visibility and audience engagement across multiple platforms-Organized and led more than three successful events and campaigns to drive campus participation and increase awareness of Global Education Office initiatives. I am deeply passionate about the Spanish language and its power to connect with diverse audiences. My minor in Spanish, combined with my experience studying abroad in Seville, has enriched my understanding of different cultures and perspectives. This passion for travel and cultural exchange inspired me to apply to the North Atlantic Language Cultural Assistant Program in Andalucía, Spain. This September I will be moving to Spain to be an English Language Assistant. I am excited to grow my language skills and improve my communication skills. My hands-on experience in communications and digital marketing allows me to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, enhancing brand visibility and loyalty. With a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication focused on Strategic Advertising and a minor in Spanish, I am eager to leverage my skills and experiences in future opportunities that allow me to create meaningful connections through advertising.
