ABOUT SUSAN SILBER
I started Collective Resilience & Planting Seeds Consulting to help support the important work of place-based community resilience programs (especially resilience hubs, spaces & blocks), including fundraising and grassroots organizational development. I have 30 years of experience working as program creator, fundraiser, project manager, strategic planner and educator in the field of community resilience and sustainability. I have created (or co-created) the NorCal Resilience Network, Nature\'s Voices Project, Climate Action Groups at the Ecology Center, the Green Star Schools program with the Green Schools Initiative, Y-Bike program with the Presidio YMCA and am the co-founder of the Berkeley Transition Initiative. My passion is working with solutions-based grassroots projects to help create a more resilient, healthy and equitable world. Specialties: cross-sector collaborations with government partners and grassroots organizations, strategic planning, grassroots organizing, fundraising, teaching, writing, volunteer recruitment and management, youth development, creation of innovative community-based projects.
