I am an experienced regulatory and nutrition professional, working in the food industry for 20 years and was in academia for 8 years. Areas of expertise: global regulatory approvals for new sweeteners and fiber ingredients; food ingredient/food additive/novel food submissions globally; scientific substantiation of fiber status claims, caloric determination, safety; health claim authorization for soy protein and cardiovascular risk; interaction and lobbying regulatory agencies globally; nutrition science substantiation of physiological benefits of fibers, sweeteners, and proteins; team leader; interdisciplinary team leader; project managementRegarding my academic experience, I was an Associate Professor of Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.
