ABOUT SUSAN PIERI

I’m a senior stakeholder engagement and partnerships leader with 28 years’ experience working across the international development sector. I specialise in building trusted, high value relationships with governments, multilaterals, foundations, INGOs and private sector partners — and in aligning diverse interests to drive impact at scale.I currently lead strategic partnership development for Comic Relief with governments and foundations, alongside volunteering as Chief Operating Officer for a local climate change think tank. Before this, I advanced innovative financing initiatives at The Power of Nutrition, working closely with global development stakeholders to shape new investment opportunities.Over a decade at Sightsavers, I helped grow institutional income from £10 million to around £60 million a year, managing major donor and government relationships and steering delivery of the UK aid flagship disability inclusive development programme. Earlier, I spent 13 years at the UK Department for International Development, working on high profile agendas and collaborating with senior government and in country partners, including time living and working in Malawi.I’m driven by the belief that strong relationships unlock meaningful, lasting change — and I thrive in roles where influence, collaboration and strategic communication come together to make that happen.
