Susan serves as Chief Operating Officer and Hiring Shareholder at Klinedinst PC, as well as Managing Shareholder of Klinedinst\'s San Diego location.Susan is responsible for day-to-day management of 7 physical offices, and one remote market. As a firm of over 95 attorneys, Susan leads all aspects of firm infrastructure, including human resources, operations, financial performance, talent acquisition, culture, and team-building. Susan works in tandem with firm leaders to ensure Klinedinst continues to fulfill all strategic planning initiatives, build innovative infrastructure, effectuate efficient operations, hire and retain talent, and cultivate an exceptional workplace environment. Prior to her elevation to COO in 2021, Susan had been a shareholder at the firm since She was elevated to Managing Shareholder of the San Diego office in 2018, and Director of Strategic Operations in 2019. As a practicing lawyer for over 20 years, Susan has extensive experience in a broad range of civil litigation, and was the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV®-Preeminent™ rating. Susan represented clients in litigation involving professional liability, general liability, commercial and residential construction, insurance, business disputes, mold-related claims, product liability, and employment matters. She handled all aspects of litigation and eDiscovery, from overall strategic planning and conducting depositions, to arbitrations, mediation and trials. It is this in-depth, hands on understanding of law firm systems and dynamics that provides incredible insight and value, resulting in streamlined operational growth, problem-solving, prioritization, and execution.
