It is not simply about a business trip that may or may not be successful and may or may not have a flight delay (or four). It is about travelers leaving their families and missing their kids soccer game. It is about travel managers living under tremendous pressure to reduce costs while keeping their travelers happy. It is about corporations ensuring that their people are safe while traveling, in the event of emergencies. Selling corporate travel allows me to be a part of something much bigger than me and to connect with companies that struggle with the balance of satisfaction vs. savings vs. service. I love getting to talk to companies about the challenges they deal with when managing travel for their corporation and how I can help. I learn something new every day. The most favorite part of my job is delivering a customized solution that allows them to feel that triumph they work so hard for.
