ABOUT SUSAN LEHMANN

I love a data challenge, whether your data is qualitative or quantitative. If you do not have data, but need it, I can design surveys, conduct interviews, and focus groups, and do secondary data analysis. I can confidently make presentations to experts and non-experts that THEY can understand and use to make decisions that matter. If you can tell me what you think you want to understand about your organization, I can develop a strategy to collect and analyze your information. I am also very experienced at coordinating data collection projects with virtual and multi-national teams. Highly knowledgeable about evaluating organizational performance, stakeholder feedback, Russian exchange programs – professional and educational, K-12 education from management to curriculum implementation, military dependents\' education, U.S. higher education – liberal arts, professional, and veterans, and international education. At the U.S. Department of Education, I evaluated innovative programs for liberal arts colleges, land-grant institutions, research universities, community colleges, and minority-serving institutions. Former evaluator of thousands of Department of Education grants to institutions of higher education. Broad contacts in higher education. Summa cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr, Harvard Ph.D. in Sociology, and former Columbia University Assistant Professor of Sociology and Russian Studies. Recipient of multiple research and foundation grants for research in the former Soviet Union including grants from the National Science Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Carnegie Corporation. My research in the former Soviet Union was conducted on site and in Russian, which is my third language. I am a native speaker of English with some fluency in French as well as Russian.
