The Director, Medical Affairs Governance & Training Excellence provides strategic direction, prioritization, resource planning, governance, and leadership for Global Medical Safety and Operations. As a member of the Global Medical Safety (GMS) and Governance Operations Team, this role leads the development, review and approval of enterprise GMS and Medical Affairs policy development, maintenance, implementation, training, and education activities to ensure global compliance and promote scientific and technical knowledge and skills across the global medical affairs organization This Director chairs the Training Governance team which sets company standards and global strategies for medical affairs while also providing oversight to enhancements and changes affecting the medical training and operational platforms. The Director, Medical Affairs Governance & Training Excellence is also the system owner of the medical training platform and is responsible for operational effectiveness and leads a continuous improvement approach in collaboration with the business units and regions. The Director is accountable for the prioritization and planning of system releases, global training for medical affairs teams and for the global business process and monitoring. This role is also responsible for the end to end process for Investigator Sponsored Studies in accordance with all local, state, and regional regulations. SME for policies, compliance,regulatory, privacy and operational effectiveness in medical affairs.
