ABOUT SUSAN BARFIELD

Susan Barfield is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Case Works. Susan has an extensive career in nursing and operations. In 2018, Susan’s priority as CEO of Case Works was to grow the business by 200 percent while steadily growing Case Works’ internal team by 50 percent Under Susan’s leadership, the organization met these goals in 2018, and continues its progress in 2019, exceeding even her own expectations. Susan’s leadership as CEO and founder have enabled Case Works to support law firms throughout the country; many of which contribute their success to Case Works’ tort support and Susan’s incredible ability to improve business operations. Within the personal injury law industry, Susan became a thought leader and influencer for attorneys looking to strategically grow their practice. Susan possesses an innate ability to recognize trends and opportunities before others and executes to achieve actual business results. She is delivering cutting edge products and solutions while inspiring and influencing her team.Prior to Case Works, Susan was Vice President of Clinical Operations for a national medical startup. The fast paced, high demanding environment of a start-up company taught Susan that in order to consistently excel and be a key company resource, she had to pilot new business practices, drive operations across a multi-disciplined organization, be results oriented, identify trends and opportunities for strategic growth, and leverage expertise and resources across the business environment to effectively lead and direct teams. She was a proven problem solver who simplified complex problems into executable business solutions with measurable outcomes.Susan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.Susan was recently nominated in Austin Business Journal for the 2019 Profiles in Power, Central Texas Women of Influence Award.
