Loading & Unloading Shipments Safely load/unload trailers/trucks using pallet jacks, dock plates, forklifts, etc. Ensure freight is handled without damage; coordinate with drivers.2. Inspecting & Verifying Goods Check incoming/outgoing shipments for accuracy (count, item type, condition). Report or reject damaged or incorrect goods.3. Documentation & Coordination Fill out Bills of Lading, shipping logs, and coordinate scheduling of dock doors/trailers. Communicate with supervisors, transportation companies, logistics or shipping coordinators.4. Maintaining Safety & Dock Area Cleanliness Use of proper safety practices: chocks, seals, PPE, clear pathways, dock plates, etc. Keep the dock area organised, free of hazards, and support health & safety compliance.5. Load Preparation & Palletizing Build, wrap, label, and prepare pallets or freight for outbound load or staging. Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet trucks) where required.
