About Surrentther Sukumaran

In pursuit to be a rotating equipment specialist, I have undertaken a variety of unique challenges in the roles I have held. From executing team engineering projects at university to leading multi craft efforts to increase machinery fleet reliability at site, I have consistently delivered results as I learn new skills, aided by my passion for turbomachinery. I am always reaching for new challenges to further enhance my skills and knowledge on rotating equipment. I thrive best when I am given the accountability to achieve a set target, especially in a multi disciplinary team effort, as I have excelled in the past. During my 2 years stint as a machinery engineer at Singapore Refinery, I have experienced troubleshooting different classes of machines via different methods based on their failure modes, played technical authority role in site projects, and developed site machinery fleet reliability improvement plans based on the gaps I observed. During my stint, pump MTBF and machine availability percentages improved significantly, projects were cost effectively executed while adhering to standards, reliability and safety requirement and multiple bad actors were successfully resolved.
