About Suriya Arumugavelan
Do you remember walking into a toy store as a kid and feeling excited yet overwhelmed at the same time? That’s me, in most stores. I simply love the consumer experiences on offer - their products! I’ve worked in ~7 different industries over the last few years through various internships, projects, and competitions. I’ve learned the nuances of product management from the ideation to distribution stage, as well as the fundamentals of market segmentation and global penetration strategies. At present, my interests are inclined towards product management in the field of consumer goods and technology. In the long term, I hope to start a venture of my own, with a focus on creating innovative consumer experiences. As far as leadership ideologies go, my views are best described by the following quote from one of my all-time favorite books,“Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.” ― Phil Knight, Shoe DogTrust, I believe, is the single greatest driving factor in any collaborative environment.
