As a Robotics Engineer, I currently have hands-on experience in creating URDF models, controlling differential drive motors using automotive protocols (RS485, CAN), implementing autonomous navigation based on odometry with encoders, utilizing SLAM technology, developing waypoint navigation and Docking for Autonomous charging with an Intel RealSense camera->Perception in AMR(2D/3D LIDAR and RealSense Camera)->Outdoor AMR planning ->Developing custom path planner ->IMU integration for stabilizing odometry ->Docking using VL markers with LIDAR ->Reflective-based docking ->Fleet Management Systems (FMS) for multi-robot communication ->and new technologies emerging in the AMR industry. I began my career as an embedded engineer in the Robotics-AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) R&D department. There, I handled input and output operations using an STM32 microcontroller, based on serial communications with the robotic (AMR) system in real time. After a certain period, the microcontroller tasks were completed and I transitioned to working on the control system. My main advantage was the opportunity to work on and develop the entire robotics system, except for mechanical design. This included electrical planning, component selection and sourcing, assembly, motor tuning, power calculations for battery selection, and safety features. After a certain period, I realized that almost every AMR skeleton was the same, so it took less time to plan for subsequent AMRs. Then, I embarked on a new chapter: analyzing robotics software packages with ROS2. I developed a ROS2 package for motor control and odometry calculations using the Modbus (RTU/RS485) protocol, which sparked my interest and motivated me. Through this experience, I gained deeper insight into the features of the ROS2 framework. Subsequently, my career shifted to focus entirely on robotics (AMR) software development.
