Agro commodities ( Maize [ Corn ]/ Broken Rice) Feedstock Procurement for Ethanol plant/ Distillery: Pan India: As Head of Procurement at Zuari Envien Bioenergy Pvt. Ltd.(a grain-based ethanol manufacturing company currently under commissioning), I am responsible for establishing and leading the end-to-end feedstock procurement function to support upcoming operations.Key Responsibilities:•Building and managing a robust Pan-India vendor network for key feedstocks such as maize, broken rice, and other agri-based inputs•Designing and executing procurement strategy, cost control mechanisms, and sourcing plans aligned with commercial viability and operational timelines.•Engaging in supplier identification, negotiation, and contracting for long-term and seasonal feedstock requirements.•Conducting continuous cost benchmarking, crop data analysis, and market trend monitoring to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective sourcing.•Developing procurement SOPs for feedstock purchases, trader and broker-based sourcing, Mandi / APMC and direct deals (including structured and bilty-cut trades) through Truck load / Railway Rake.•Coordinating with transporters, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.•Preparing for commissioning phase by aligning supply-side readiness with plant operational needs.~This role offers the opportunity to shape the procurement framework from the ground up, ensuring reliable, cost-efficient feedstock sourcing for a sustainable biofuel production model.
