Managing team handling the rail movements of empty containers from Nhava Sheva and Mundra to ICDs by the stuffing deadlines at factory locations.Ensure timely movement of Laden containers from ICDs to ports on time to catch planned sailings and avoid shut out and additional plug in charges at portEnsure and show positive savings ($) by doing the e-auction of freight rates for the important locations.For 2019 to 2023 team managed to show positive savings of approx. 2.5 Cr by managing the import and export container movement from ICD by using the most cheapest mode of transport of road and rail working in close coordination with inhouse logistics team and shipping lines.Ensure sufficient Empties are repositioned at north ICDs of various shipping lines based on the lowest ocean freights offered for destinations.Maximize the pick-up of empty containers and loading of laden containers from Mundra with low transportation costs. Reduce detention costs for containers by ensuring faster turn around time of shipping line containers after pick up of empties. Negotiate with rail operators to get competitive rail freights and maximize volumes with the cheapest transporter which would reflect in overall savings for the company.Manage escalations if any and issue resolution through root cause analysis.Setting up of KPIs/Conducting yearly appraisals for team members every year to evaluate their performance and give required feedback to Management.
