Founded in 2011, Belmont Scientific, Inc. is a contract research and testing laboratory. Based near Boston, Massachusetts, the company facility has a full testing laboratory that allows us to address all your testing and evaluation needs. Some of the services we offer include testing of thermal hazards, process safety, thermal runaway, flammability & dust explosion (including process hazard analysis (PHA) of reactive chemicals and dusts), and shock sensitivity assessment of reactive chemicals. We also offer the following: Lithium-ion and lithium polymer battery technology evaluation and assessment: addresses challenges related to battery technology, battery materials(electrode/electrolyte/separator) selection and testing, cell balancing, reaction mechanism, cell design and evaluation, performance degradation of high energy and high-power batteries. BSI is a process safety and risk management company with state of the art laboratory located outskirt of Boston. Our expertise in process chemistry, process development, chemical safety, battery design & safety, failure analysis makes us unique to help client in developing and manufacturing safe products. We also bring >two decades of experience working on Lithium ion battery safety testing, developed many safety testing technique and now are commonly used in the industry. Our customers are from chemical, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical device, battery material developers and energy storage device industries. Our laboratory is equipped with calorimeters (DSC, ARC, VSP2, micro reaction calorimeter, Simular Reaction Calorimeter), low and high pressure chemical reactors for process development, battery cycler, MBraun Argon glove box, and ovens.
