   Currently serves as Senior Vice President, Regions & program operations for USP. He is a member of USP’s executive team and provides leadership to USP’s programs and business operations in all the regions worldwide. Surendra Nath had been working with USP for over nineteen years and provides strategic leadership and execution of business with a vision and strategy with a focus on driving sustainability and Impact for USP. He oversees advancing the strategies around development of USP’s standards and growth programs.Current responsibilities include:•Develops regional strategies and identify the growth countries to closely engage stakeholders and enhance the relevance of USP standards and programs.•Strengthens, builds, and implements marketing strategies following best practices that will drive revenue goals and increases awareness at the national and global levels.•Establish close collaborations with Pharmacopeias and Regulatory Agencies, in the areas of capacity building and advocacy for quality of medicines, food and dietary supplements.•Work with stakeholders to promote public health through public standards and scientific activities.Background Joined USP-India in 2006 as Laboratory Director and provided critical leadership during the establishment of laboratories. Managed the expansion of office and laboratory space at USP’s Hyderabad site – which features laboratories capable of providing R&D including Biologics Research and Synthetic Chemistry. Also served on the team responsible for the expansion of the USP-China site, inaugurated in 2014. He served as International sites head before in this current role.Prior to joining USP, worked in a variety of roles and have accumulated more than fifteen years of pharmaceutical industry experience in India.
