About Suraj Kothari

Suresh (Suraj) Kothari has been the Richardson Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Iowa State University (ISU). EnSoft, the company he founded in 2002, provides products and services to more than 400 companies worldwide including all major avionics and automobile companies. He was a PI for the DARPA Space/Time Analysis for Cybersecurity (STAC) program and DARPA Automated Program Analysis for Cybersecurity (APAC) program. He offers courses, tutorials, and talks to teach how to bring together mathematical thinking, program analysis, and software engineering to achieve major improvements in productivity, reliability, and security of large software systems. He was awarded in 2008 the Prometheus Award for Innovative Teaching. He has served as a Distinguished ACM Lecturer. He led the effort to establish the Software Engineering undergraduate degree program at ISU. He was awarded in 2012 the Board of Regents Professor Award for Excellence in Research, Teaching, and Outreach.
