About Surajit Banerjee
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the department of Geography and Natural Resources Management at Mizoram University, focusing on critical environmental challenges. I am basically trying to advance research in agro-ecological zonations and climate induced niche dynamics by collaborating on innovative studies and leveraging advanced tools like Google Earth Engine. With a proven track record in environmental data collection and analysis, the focus is on fostering sustainable solutions for pressing environmental issues. Dedicated to leveraging academic expertise and research to contribute meaningfully to environmental conservation and resource management.As a Junior Research Fellow, my core competencies include expertise in GIS, GeoAI, forest fire management, Landscape metrics, Agroecology and landscape ecology, complemented by a solid academic foundation in geography and environmental planning from Jadavpur University. Previous academic and fieldwork experiences have honed skills in soil chemistry analysis, mangrove environment studies, and forest ecology.
