Developer | IT Automation & Mainframe ModernizationAs a Developer on the IT Modernization team, I am responsible for the end-to-end migration of our enterprise workload scheduling from a legacy mainframe JCL environment to the Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC). This critical project involves transforming decades-old batch processing into a modern, agile, and centrally managed automation framework.Key Responsibilities:1. Analysis & Deconstruction: Analyzed hundreds of complex legacy JCL streams to thoroughly understand job logic, dependencies, scheduling conditions, and data flow.2. Workflow Design & Development: Designed, developed, and implemented new, optimized workflows in Stonebranch UAC, replicating and enhancing the functionality of the original mainframe jobs.3. Testing & Validation: Executed rigorous testing cycles (unit, integration, and UAT) to ensure the migrated workflows were functionally correct, performed efficiently, and maintained data integrity.4. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identified and resolved complex technical issues during the migration process, debugging both JCL logic and Stonebranch configurations to ensure a seamless transition.5. Collaboration: Worked closely with mainframe operators, application developers, and business analysts to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure the new automation solutions met all business requirements.6. Documentation: Created and maintained comprehensive technical documentation for the new Stonebranch workflows, providing clear operational guides and knowledge transfer for support teams.
