   As a Cloud Engineering Intern at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. I worked closely with the Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, and M365 teams. Starting off in this role, I was trained by each of these teams of the cloud team. In my first project, I developed scalable C# Azure Function Apps and a UI dashboard to display all pull requests when they come in. I first was tasked to build the infrastructure of the Function app and UI in terraform. Then, to support real-time infrastructure insights, I integrated 100+ daily webhooks with HTTP-triggered Azure Functions and validated workflows using Postman. The function app then is connected with an Azure Table Storage and adds the pushes all the data in real-time. Retrieving data from the Table Storage, I created an interactive Angular-based UI dashboard with dynamic features, used daily by 200+ employees and clients. Using Azure DevOps tools, I designed a visually impactful dashboard that had multiple variables that all clients take one look at to understand the current status of their pull request. Moving onto my current project, my team and I are working to optimize pipeline runs and reduce associated costs across cloud infrastructure workflows. We are using Domain Driven Design to restructure our cloud infrastructure and optimize pipeline execution during merges to development, testing, and production environments. By reducing the duration of every pipeline run, it will significantly cut operational costs saving us per minute per pipeline. With everything included, there is a potential to reduce the annual expenses by over through improved efficiency and resource utilization. Overall, my experience at Gallagher has greatly strengthened my technical and collaborative skills while exposing me to new tools, concepts, and workflows. The complex and impactful projects I’ve been assigned continue to challenge me and deepen my interest in cloud infrastructure and scalable system design.
