ABOUT SURAJ KUMAR MODI
I’m a motivated microbiologist with hands-on experience in applied research, product development, and industrial microbiology. My work at Oxford Silk Phage Technology Ltd.(UK) has focused on developing innovative bio-based healthcare materials, including phage-based wound care prototypes and bioactive textiles, within a Category II biosafety and ISO-17025-aligned environment.Previously, I managed microbiology and nanomedicine projects in India, setting up laboratory workflows, designing antimicrobial formulations, and developing PVA-based nanoscaffolds for clinical and biomedical applications. This cross-disciplinary foundation spans microbiology, molecular biology, materials science, and bioinformatics.I thrive in fast-paced, industry-driven environments where research moves quickly from concept to product. Passionate about quality, innovation, and collaboration, I’m eager to contribute to organisations within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or food-microbiology sectors—especially those focused on R&D, product optimisation, or quality systems.
