Not to sound dramatic but…The highest peaks I’ve climbed in my personal and professional life so far have inevitably been through “trial by fire” / “do or die” type situations. It took me a while to grasp this. Much longer than I would’ve liked. But now when I’m faced with adversity, instead of cowering in fright, my mindset is.“It’s ok, just another growth opportunity. Challenge accepted!”And while I’m not actively seeking adversity;) I’m always up for a healthy challenge. At work, play, and everything in between. And reflecting on past challenges that made me a better person sparks my inner fire! Here are a few that I cherish and relish in retrospect: PROFESSIONAL:• From moonlighting as a freelance writer for Amazon product pages while working a day job to leading a 20+ member team of marketers, storytellers, and artists. •Achieving unprecedented content marketing metrics for brands like PharmEasy, Magicbricks, Novo Nordisk, etc through innovative solutions that surprised and delighted me but also gave me a dash of imposter syndrome to overcome. PERSONAL: •Performing fitness feats and mastering new yoga poses I never in my life would’ve believed my body was capable of. •Balancing motherhood, marriage, friendships, fitness, health, travel, work, phew… My loves other than work and healthy challenges include:•Plunging into an ice bath (Oh, the sharp, heady spike of dopamine!)•Cuddling with my husband and son (Ahh the sweet-sweet serotonin and oxytocin hit!)•Staying active! Be it resistance training, yoga, cardio, calisthenics or just a leisurely walk with a endorphins)•Listening to the Huberman Lab and the Peter Attia (The Drive) podcasts and also cosying up with books recommended by this scientist and MD duo- that I consider to be legends in their field. •Giving unsolicited health advice to folks ranging from childhood friends to absolute strangers, courtesy of my passion for health and fitness. •Exploring different cultures and cuisines, museums and markets, art and aesthetics on my various travels.•Experimenting with new music tunes and mindfulness techniques. Hit me up if you have a challenge for me- An exciting work project, a daunting yoga/fitness feat, or something I’ve never done before-(almost) anything works. Chances are, I’ll say “Challenge accepted.”
