About Surabhi Thakare
Data Engineer with 5+ years hands-on experience in implementing enterprise wide data lakes to migrate on-premise data from multiple databases and servers to AWS and Snowflake; experienced in developing Python frameworks to orchestrate workflows. In my capacity as a Data Engineer at Jefferies, I implement enterprise wide data lakes on cloud platforms and orchestrate the end-to-end workflows by developing Python frameworks or using serverless architecture. I manage software development life cycle involving requirement analysis, defect tracking, debugging, project execution, status reporting, maintenance & documentation. I have built dashboards on PowerBI for easy data analysis and visualization by end consumer. Prior to my current role, I was a Data Analyst for FootwearUS where my responsibilities included analyzing customers purchasing patterns using Python and Tableau, developing and implementing strategies to improve sales and reduce the return rate. I graduated in Business and Information Systems from NJIT in May 2019. Being passionate about Machine Learning and Data Science, I’ve pursued Data Scientist Nanodegree from Udacity. To advance my Cloud knowledge I am currently pursuing AWS Architect Associate certification.Tools and Technologies: Hands-on expertise in Cloud Computing(AWS), Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Collibra, PowerBI, Machine Learning, Alteryx, Tableau, Code versioning (bitbucket), Jira and Confluence
