Hands-on Experience daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.• Experience on multiple technologies and latest hardware as VM, Dell Compellent, iSCSI, Catalyst 3650, 3850 & Nexus Switches, Palo Alto, F5, core Routers, Riverbed, Cisco 6600 & 1800 series APs, WLC, Cisco Prime, ISC, etc. • Supporting shipboard crew in keeping workstations well maintained and running efficiently including but not limited to PC’s, POS Terminals, cabling systems, servers and related hardware.• Ensures support requests are responded to promptly during working hours and extended hours may be required as needed for critical systems support.• Notifies IT Systems Manager of any shortfall in hardware levels such as PC’s, printers, scanners, POS systems, servers and related hardware.• Provides basic user training and support in the use of software and specialized property management software as needed.• Monitors and maintains Satellite communication systems to ensure optimum performance.• Assists in monitoring and maintaining the Internal Telephone System.• Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required and Informs Technical team of any mechanical failures and monitors/assists with repairs.• Lead various deployments after dry-dock and aware of all procedural tasks for smooth shipboard IT operations.• Network Monitoring and Management tools are Beamon monitoring tool, ECRM Oracle application tool, Service Information Portal and Smart Net Portal, What\'s up gold, Nagios, Putty.exe, AVTECH device manager• Monitors and maintains Satellite communication systems to ensure optimum performance. Ensure that planned maintenance assigned to their discipline is conducted and reported.
