About Samantha Sun
I am a recent Bioengineering PhD graduate with 6+ years of expertise in time-series biosignals analysis and building machine learning/AI tools. In my graduate work, I led multiple research projects from ideation to publication, mentored successful students, and managed collaborations between research and clinical teams. I envision working in a team where I can leverage my bio-computational background to support and improve biosensors for health and wellness outcomes.Apart from research, I enjoy teaching and am continuously working on improving my scientific communication skills- I\'m a firm believer that science should be fun and accessible to everyone. I engage in education and outreach in the Seattle-area, most recently collaborating with the Pacific Science Center to launch their new exhibit in 2024 titled \"Brainy Bodies.\" I am also a ceramic artist and started my small business in 2023,\"samsunspots.\"
