About Seunghee Lee Kang

Clarinetist Seunghee Lee is a multi-faceted recording artist and record producer based in New York City. She has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra for her Grammy® nominated album, Aspire. Ms. Lee is the Founder and Director of Musica Solis Records. She is a frequent guest lecturer on music entrepreneurship through her signature topic “You Are the Company” and was an invited speaker at Harvard Business School\'s Asia Business Conference titled,\"The Game Changers\".Ms. Lee received her Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, studying with Charles Neidich and her Master’s degree and Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music, with David Shifrin.Ms. Lee’s exploration beyond classical repertoire led her to an unprecedented full-length concert with the world-renowned Italian composer Andrea Morricone, the composer of the beloved \"Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso\". For this unique concert, Maestro Morricone especially orchestrated for Ms. Lee, world-premiere arrangements for clarinet and orchestra. Included in the program are \"Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso\", Ennio Morricone\'s \"Gabriel\'s Oboe\", Nino Rota’s \"The Godfather\" and many other cinematic works available for view on her Youtube channel. As a voting member of the Recording Academy, Ms. Lee is an elected Board of Governors of the New York Chapter. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Concert Artists Guild, as well as on the Yale School of Music Advisory Board and the YaleNYC Executive Board. In May 2024, she was invited to join the Global Council of Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York City.Also a highly skilled golfer, Seunghee Lee (a.k.a. Sunny Kang) spoke at TEDx Hong Kong about the surprising similarities between golf and music and the mental challenges of viewing both skills through the lens of a perfectionist.
