Responsible for managing a directorate of five divisions totaling over 100+ personnel consisting of civilians, military, reservists, guardsmen, and contractors. Directly supports the Director of Regional Affairs for both Air and Space Force international security cooperation activities and acts in the Director’s stead in the event of his absence. Oversees and coordinates briefing materials for over 400+ 4-star/Secretary level meetings annually.Coordinates directly with interagency and policy organizations including sister services and Air & Space Staff organizations, Department of State (DOS), Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy and Space Policy (OSD(P) & OSD(SP)), Regional Combatant Commands (CCMDS) and their Air and Space component commands to advance Air and Space Force partnership activities including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), joint exercises, training, joint cooperative activities, interoperability, military exchange officers, etc. Developed prioritization framework to help identify focus areas out of 3500+ FMS cases valued at over $275B. Acts as the senior civilian in the directorate by providing guidance to military supervisors on civilian personnel matters and hiring actions; and is directly responsible for over 50+ civilians’ development and mentorship within the Directorate as well as sits on the Development Team Board for the entire International Affairs Career Field within the Air Force.
