1. Senior Director of Programs and Policy

   National Farm To School Network

   May 2022 — Present

   At the end of May, I stepped into the role of Interim Senior Director of Programs and Policy at National Farm to School Network. I am excited to support this network. I want to recognize the privilege and obligation of stepping into this role. I am entering this space at a time of real transition for NFSN, where our food systems change movement and this organization are required to take a deeper look at our values and principles and navigate their integration into each piece of our programs, policies, partnerships and staff structure. I am stepping in with an extensive knowledge and understanding of farm to school and of network building. I am also deeply invested in my personal and professional work as a co-conspirator in liberation and justice work that centers community. I will be supported by my mentor, Noel Didla, Chair of the Mississippi Food Policy Council, to ensure I am intentional and held accountable in this space. Together, we bring a collective mindset of “good love, healthy choices and second chances” as Kiese Laymon taught us. It is an honor to join NFSN in this role and I am committed to practicing equity, justice, care and wellness with all the NFSN partners.
