ABOUT SUNIL SHINGADIA

After graduating from university and successfully completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP University College Birmingham, Sunil began his legal career at BH Mohammed Solicitors as a Litigation Paralegal. In this role, he developed a strong foundation in both contentious and non-contentious matters, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of litigious work. He also assisted Counsel on several high-profile criminal cases that attracted significant media attention, further strengthening his analytical and case management skills.In 2013, Sunil transitioned in-house to HSBC, one of the world’s leading international banks, where he supported General Counsel as a Paralegal. His work focused on banking and consumer law, providing him with valuable insight into the commercial and regulatory landscape from a corporate perspective.Sunil later advanced his career at Saffron Solicitors, where he worked under the guidance and leadership of senior management. During this time, he refined his technical expertise, expanded his client portfolio, and built the strong professional relationships that continue to underpin his high success rate today.A notable highlight of Sunil’s career was participating in a Q&A session with James Caan CBE at the London Law Expo 2014, discussing his recent takeover of Knights Plc. This experience provided valuable commercial insight into the evolving legal services market.Since qualifying as a Solicitor, Sunil has developed extensive experience in handling a broad spectrum of matters, including Commercial Litigation, Commercial Property and Real Estate, Landlord and Tenant disputes, and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is known for his strategic approach, meticulous preparation, and commitment to achieving commercially focused outcomes for his clients.Sunil is now a Director at Ubique Legal, where he leads and manages his own department with a distinct focus on Corporate and Commercial affairs. In this role, he advises businesses on a wide range of corporate transactions, commercial agreements, governance matters, real estate finance and strategic growth initiatives. As a department head, he combines legal expertise with commercial acumen, delivering pragmatic, results-driven solutions while overseeing the continued development and expansion of his practice.
