Currently in this position, responsible for managing all the assigned Hermes codes. This position is responsible for creating values by converting the purchasing activity into procurement actions. In this position, I directly reports to Procurement Manager and CFO. Incumbents in this position will have to coordinate with other Category Buyers and Referential Officer as and when required. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : 1. Strategically lead commodity sourcing by understanding commodity supply market economics and competitive structure of targeted suppliers and industries. Utilize this information to build business relationships with suppliers as a source of sustainable competitive advantage. Extract relevant data from diverse sources and utilize it to develop new contracts. Develops and implements sourcing strategies specific to the product or service in accordance to safety measures taken by Air Liquide. Develop synergistic relationships with key suppliers. Achieve virtual integration of the supplier with Air Liquide in order to provide sustainable competitive advantage. Insures that supplier management process is implemented. Constantly measure and record the result of strategy implementation and provide actionable feedback to business stakeholders. Conduct supplier audits with Procurement Manager or other ALI employees. Create and negotiate supply agreements consistent with Air Liquide’s business interests. Drive continuous improvement through Air Liquide’s industrial Management System. Procure at the lowest evaluated cost consistent with the considerations of quality, reliability and delivery. The person will be responsible for making all the purchase orders pertaining to that particular category. To follow up with suppliers for on time delivery. It will be the responsibility of the Category Buyer to ensure that the material required reaches the concerned user within a given period of time and in working/usable condition. It will be the responsibility of Category Buyer to ensure that the service required being used by the concerned user on the promised date by the supplier and the work that is done is up to the mark of quality standards that are required by Air Liquide. To follow up with the user after the material has reached for the material received note. To follow up with the user after the service has been taken for the service received note. Handling the finance related queries from time to time and being in direct contact with the finance team to resolve any problems.
