ABOUT SUNIL KUMAR BISOYI
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, I am conducting research on real-time energy efficient cyber-physical intelligent system for mine slope health monitoring. This project aims to develop a novel and robust solution for enhancing the safety and sustainability of mining operations. I have a PhD in Mining Engineering from NIT Rourkela, where I focused on predicting and minimizing ground vibration caused by blasting, using artificial neural networks and meta-heuristic algorithms. I have over eight years of experience in mining engineering, including teaching, research, and industry. I have taught undergraduate students at Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar, and worked as a Research Assistant at NIT Rourkela. I have also worked as a Graduate Mining Engineer at Hindustan Zinc Ltd, where I was responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a section of the mine. I have published a paper in Sādhanā, Journal of Mining Science, Mining Metallurgy and Exploration and presented my papers in many international conferences, and have multiple skills in classical mechanics, data analysis, and neural networks. I am passionate about contributing to the latest technical developments in the field of mining engineering and advancing the knowledge and practice of the discipline.
