About Suneil Avirneni
I’ve always been fascinated by how money works. Not just in theory, but in people’s lives. Since taking my first personal finance class, I’ve cared deeply about making financial knowledge more accessible. I studied finance in undergrad and will be starting my Master of Accountancy at Vanderbilt in August. Long term, I plan to get a Ph.D. in either Accounting or Finance and build a career in academia. I’m interested in research that looks at how financial systems operate, how new information gets priced into the market, and how institutions make impactful investment decisions. At Berea College, I worked with the Investment Club on portfolio management, financial analysis, and equity research. That experience gave me a solid foundation in both the technical and strategic sides of finance. Outside of that, I love chess. It keeps my mind sharp and helps me think more clearly. It works especially well when you think of it as teaching you how to make a roadmap to tackle complex problems. I’m open to connecting with anyone who shares interests in finance, accounting, research, or even just a good chess match.
